Did the School Assessment Leave You Guessing?

You did everything they asked: Filled out the forms. Requested the evaluation. Waited for testing. Sat through the IEP meeting. And when they finally gave you answers — your child was no closer to getting the help they need.

Instead of clarity, families often get answers like these:

"Your child doesn't qualify for services."

School evaluations determine eligibility for special ed, they don't find the root cause of your child's struggles. Children with dyslexia fall through the cracks because they don't meet the legal threshold, even when they clearly need support.

"We don't identify dyslexia."

Schools often use broad categories like "Specific Learning Disability" and may tell you they don't identify dyslexia. Without a clear identification, your child won't get the support they need.

"We will contact you when we have an update."

While you wait, your child goes back to the same classroom and the same struggles — falling further behind and losing confidence with every passing week.

Not All Dyslexia Assessments Are Equal

Most Give You a Label.
We Give You a Roadmap.

Most evaluations tell you your child has a problem. They don't tell you what it is, why it's happening, or what to do next. That's not a clear identification. That's a dead end.

Most Evaluations
  • Determines eligibility — not root cause
  • Won't clearly identify dyslexia even when signs are clear
  • Misses key indicators like Phonological Memory, RAN, and other critical markers beyond basic Phonological Awareness
  • Vague recommendations you can't act on
  • Leaves you guessing while your child falls further behind

The Cost of Guessing

A Comprehensive Dyslexia Assessment.
A Clear Path Forward.

Mismatched intervention costs you money, time, and your child's confidence.

SAVES MONEY

Families spend thousands on programs that don't work because they were never built for their child's specific profile. One precise assessment eliminates years of misdirected spending.

SAVES TIME

100 hours of the wrong intervention = zero progress. 100 hours matched to the right profile = average-range gains. These are your child's developmental years. You cannot get them back.

RESTORES SELF-ESTEEM

Every year a child works hard and sees no results, they internalize a lie: that they are the problem. The right roadmap doesn't just fix reading. It proves your child was never broken. Just misunderstood.

22x
More Progress
Children matched to the correct profile make 22x more progress in the same timeframe as those who aren't.
We build a transformative roadmap for your child's successful intervention — so every hour of support counts from day one.

How It Works

A Thorough, Compassionate Process From Start to Finish

Every step is designed to be low-pressure for your child and informative for you. Most families receive their full report within two weeks of the assessment.

1

Parent Interview — 1 Hour

We begin with a thorough one-on-one conversation to understand your child's developmental history, early academic experiences, family history, and the specific concerns that brought you to us.

2

Standardized Assessment — 2.5 to 3 Hours

Your child completes a battery of standardized assessments in a supportive, low-pressure environment. We evaluate reading fluency, phonological processing, decoding, spelling, comprehension, visual attention, and more.

Kid-friendly. No stress. We go at their pace.
3

Records and History Review

We analyze your child's educational records, report cards, and any previous assessments to build the most complete picture of their learning journey — including assessments that may have left you with more questions than answers.

4

Detailed Report and Family Meeting

You'll receive a comprehensive written report with clear findings and a specific plan of research-based interventions. We walk you through every finding together — and your report is formatted to share directly with your school's IEP team, teachers, and any outside specialists.

What We Assess

The Complete Picture of Your Child's Learning Profile

We use a comprehensive battery of standardized assessments — not a single test. Every area below is evaluated so nothing gets missed and your child's strengths are just as clear as their challenges.

Phonological Processing

How well your child hears and works with the sounds in spoken language

Reading Fluency

Speed, accuracy, and expression when reading connected text aloud

Decoding Skills

Ability to sound out unfamiliar words — real words and nonsense words

Spelling & Written Expression

How your child spells and puts thoughts into writing

Visual Attention

How well your child's eyes track and process text on the page

Comprehension

Comparing reading vs. listening comprehension to isolate where the breakdown happens

Listening Comprehension

How well your child understands spoken language compared to written text — isolating where the reading breakdown begins

Oral Expression

Your child's ability to express ideas verbally — revealing strengths that written work may be masking

Vocabulary

Breadth and depth of word knowledge — a key predictor of reading comprehension and overall academic success

Rapid Naming

How quickly your child retrieves familiar words, letters, and symbols from memory

Things Parents Ask Before Booking

How long until I get results?

Most families receive their full written report within approximately two weeks of the assessment session. We review every finding with you in a family meeting before the report is finalized.

My child already has a school assessment. Should I still get one?

Yes, often. Many families come to us with school assessment data that was too vague to act on and left them with more questions than answers. Schools may still conduct their own testing — our assessment builds on that data, going deeper to identify specific areas of strength and struggle so your support plan can be updated with something that actually works.

Can my school or IEP team use this report?

Absolutely. Our reports are written specifically to be shared with teachers, IEP teams, outside tutors, and specialists. Many families use their report to request formal accommodations or updated school plans.

Is this assessment right for older students?

Yes. We assess students in Grade 1 through Adulthood. Dyslexia and related learning differences don't disappear with age — and an accurate assessment at any grade can change a student's trajectory.

Stop Wondering. Start Knowing.

Your child is smart. This assessment proves it — and gives you the specific answers and roadmap to make sure the right support finally follows.
